Buena Football Summer 2019

Buena has participated in three 7-on-7 tournaments and Big Man challenges so far this summer. They were at Amphitheater High School on Saturday.

SIERRA VISTA — There’s no offseason for the Buena High School football team.

The Colts have been and will continue to participate in 7-on-7 passing tournaments and Big Man Challenges.

The 7-on-7 passing tournaments don’t have linemen and are used to keep the teams on the same page during the long summer months.

On Thursday, Buena made the trip to Arizona State University and had a rough outing, as they won just one of their four games.

Prior to their trip to Tempe, Buena participated in the tournament at the University of Arizona on June 1. The Colts finished the day with a 5-1 record and their only loss was in the semifinal game to Chandler Hamilton.

They kicked off the summer sessions on May 25 at Empire High School. The A team went 5-1 and finished in the top four teams, while the Colts’ B team finished the day with a 4-1 record.

Saturday, the Colts will be at Amphitheater High School for a 7-on-7 tournament and big man challenge. Results were not available as of press time.
