The Cowboy Way

The Cowboy Way will perform at the Arizona Folklore Preserve this weekend.

HEREFORD — The Cowboy Way is a trio of award-winning musicians from New Mexico. Their family friendly shows feature tight harmonies, high energy and smoking instrumentals. These prolific songwriters take you on the ride of a lifetime as they honor the traditional cowboy songs and bowl you over with a dynamic cover of a southern rock tune.

The Cowboy Way is: Jim Jones — Academy of Western Artists 2016 Western Song of the Year; Western Music Association 2014 Male Performer of the Year; Western Writers of America Spur Award 2013 Western Song of the Year; NM Music Awards 2009 Western Song of the Year; Doug Figgs — Academy of Western Artists 2016 Male Vocalist of the Year; Western Music Association 2015 Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year; Academy of Western Artists Western Song of the Year 2014; Western Writers of America Spur Award 2015 Song of the Year; Mariam — Western Music Association 2015 Finalist Instrumentalist of the Year; multi-instrumentalist, diverse session player, award-winning arranger and producer.

To get there:  Go 6 miles south of Sierra Vista on Highway 92 to Ramsey Canyon Road. Turn right (west) on Ramsey Canyon Road, drive 3.3 miles into the canyon, and watch for the AFP entrance and sign to the left.
