Jacqueline Joanne “Jacquie” Moore Kelly, 80, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Macon, Ga. Born in Corvallis, Ore., she was the daughter of James Cecil Moore and Harriet Forrest Moore. She was the widow of Robert F. “Bob” Kelly. Jacquie and Bob had been Sierra Vista residents since 1967.

Jacquie was a homemaker who raised five children. As her children grew, she learned weaving and spinning, growing her skills to eventually teach and write about the fiber arts. She and Bob pioneered computer-assisted hand-weaving, developing several systems that were produced and sold by loom manufacturers. She also loved playing music on a variety of instruments. In recent years she volunteered with the Friends of the Library and local hospice organizations and was active in St Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her children, Katherine of Prescott, Ariz., Patrick (Sheryl) of Clearfield, Utah, Janet of Sierra Vista, Elizabeth of Fort Collins, Colo., and Michael (Shannon) of Kathleen, Ga.; her brother, Tam (Barbara) Moore of Medford, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2750 Cardinal Drive, Sierra Vista, Ariz., on Friday, July 11 at 2 p.m. Family requests donations to Friends of the Sierra Vista Public Library or the St. Stephens Episcopal Church Building Fund.
