The Emigrant Fire, located in the Coronado National Forest, has grown to an estimated 3,000 acres.

The cause of the fire, at the north end of the Chiricahua Mountains, remains unknown.

According to the USDA Forest Service the east side of the fire is in a rocky location and not showing much movement. Since it is in a remote area, it’s not threatening any structures.

Four national hotshot crews are on the scene and the blaze is also being fought by air.
