HEREFORD — Arizona is a land full of mysterious legends and tales about little known places. No one knows those legends and tales and out-of-the-way places better than Dolan Ellis, "Arizona's Official State Balladeer." With a lifetime of exploring the back roads and remote canyons of Arizona in his Jeeps, Dolan brings those experiences to his audiences this weekend at the Arizona Folklore Preserve in Hereford through his original ballads and photography. Listen, look, and learn on Jan. 20 and 21 as Dolan Ellis takes you on his magical journey. Doors open at 1 p.m., with performances starting at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $6 for children 17 and under.
For reservations, call 520-378-6165 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upcoming performers at the Arizona Folklore Preserve include western musical duo Notable Exceptions on Jan. 27 and 28. The AFP will be open for a special Friday show on Feb. 2, but it will be closed Feb. 3 and 4, so everyone can enjoy the Cochise Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering.
For more information, including performance schedules and additional information on featured artists, visit the AFP website, arizonafolklore.com, or call 520-378-6165.
