Actor, filmmaker and musician Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters will be performing May 27 at 7 p.m. at Old Tombstone Western Theme Park.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online at www.tombstonegunfights.com. General admission tickets are $50 and VIP tickets, which include round table seating in front of the stage, are $150.
“Billy Bob Thonton played Johnny Tyler in the 1993 movie 'Tombstone,' and he starred in the 1996 film 'Sling Blade,' ” said Sherry Rudd, who is organizing and promoting Thornton’s upcoming show. “He was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor in 'Sling Blade' and appeared in several films in the 1990s following that movie.”
Along with his background in the film industry, Thornton is a singer-songwriter. He has released four solo albums and is the Boxmasters vocalist.
“Most people know Billy Bob Thornton for his film career, but he is a talented singer and musician as well,” Rudd said. “I’m excited that he’s coming to Tombstone and look forward to seeing his show. This will be his first performance in Tombstone.”
