Willcox Livestock Auction held its 39th Annual All Breed Bull Sale Thursday, March 19.

The Grand Champion Bull (GCR Supreme 107) was won by a Charolais Bull From Grau Charolais Ranch, owner T. Lane Grau of Grady, N.M. and the Grand Champion Buckle was presented by Sonny Shores and grandson Timber Wilson, co-owner of WLA, to T. Lane Grau. The Bull was purchased by Helen Barnard, Jolly J Farms, in Cochise,  for $5,000.

Tim and Barbara Jackson from Animal Health Express in Tucson, donated a $100 gift certificate to the breeder of the Grand Champion Bull.

The Reserve Grand Champion Bull was a Hereford bull (MV Mr Luke 1317) owned by Mountain View Ranch in Elgin. The reserve champion buckle was presented to Grace Wystrach, owner, and daughter Amy Allen and grandson Cash Allen, by Sally Robbs, Bull Sale Manager, and Brenda McDaniel, co-owner of WLA. The Bull was Purchased by Jessie Davis of Sierra Bonita Ranch, Willcox, for a Sale Record $7,200.

Sandy Ruppel, Realty agent with Stockmen’s Realty presented a $50 Gift Certificate to Grace Wystrach breeder of the Reserve Grand Champion Bull.

This year the Breeders of the Champion and Reserve Champion Bull were also presented with a logo jacket from WLA.

“We had a great sale, as cattle prices continue to stay strong. We sold 107 bulls with an average sale price of $3,930.84. Thank you to all of WLA customers, sellers and buyers for making this a great annual event."
