Correen Jane (Benham) McNab, 70
BISBEE — Correen Jane (Benham) McNab, 70, of Bisbee, AZ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Peppi’s House in Tucson, where she spent the day surrounded by her family and friends.
Correen was born in Montevideo, Minnesota on April 20, 1948 to Earl and Cora Benham. She was raised in Worthington, Minnesota, and graduated from Worthington High School. In 1975, Correen moved with her husband, Bill to Tempe, Arizona where they raised their two children. In 1987, Correen and Bill moved to Bisbee, Arizona. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary in February 2019.
Correen graduated from ASU and held a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. She worked as a Special Education teacher and retired from the Palominas School District in 2000 as the Director of Special Services. She continued to be active in her community as a volunteer and as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Correen is survived by her husband, Bill McNab; daughter, Teresa Rockrich; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Peggy McNab; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Pat and Lowel Baumgarn, Cheryl and Jim Michaelson, and Kris and Bob Jandl; brother-in-law, Jeff McNab; five grandchildren, Taylor and husband Brandon Snyder, Jacob Rockrich, Nicole Brady, Heather Rice, and Katie Heck; and many nephews and nieces. She loved her family and friends and touched the lives of many very deeply.
Correen will be laid to rest at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery followed by a celebration of life on April 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
