John Wayne Taylor, 61
SIERRA VISTA— John Wayne Taylor, age 61, passed away on May 31st, 2019, as he lost his battle with Stage Four pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda in 2017; his mother, Minnie Benoit in 2013; and his stepmother, Peggy Taylor in 1994. He is survived by his father, John B. Taylor of Willcox; his brother, Bruce Taylor of Tucson; numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a plethora of amazing friends across the country.
John was born in Bisbee, Arizona in 1958. He attended Bisbee High School and after moving with his family to Morenci, AZ graduated from Morenci High School in 1977.
John was employed at Barnett’s Towing & Propane in Sierra Vista since June 2012 as a Propane Technician. John also spent almost 22 years employed by the United States Postal Service in Virginia as a Mail Handler from 1988 to 2009 before moving to Sierra Vista.
There will be a celebration of John’s life on June 15, 2019, from 2:00 — 5:00 p.m. at the home of Mary and Ken Dever located at 5811 South Pintek Lane in Hereford, AZ.
