Thank you for nominating an outstanding young professional for a Top Twenty Under 40 Business Award. Eligible nominees must be:
  • 40 or Under the age of 40 as of June 30, 2019.
  • Must WORK IN Cochise County
If you are uncertain if a nominee meets the above criteria, we encourage you to submit the nomination anyway. We will verify eligibility with the nominees prior to their consideration for an award.

Please note, nominating the same person more than once or having multiple people nominate the same person does not increase their odds of winning. Candidates are judged on their merit and qualifications regardless of the number of times they were nominated.

The Twenty under 40 judges use the following criteria to evaluate each nominee, awarding a maximum of 100 points to a potential winner.
• Career achievement to-date (25 points)
• Commitment to excellence in career (15 points)
• Leadership within company and/or industry (15 points)
• Contribution to business growth (10 points)
• Involvement in community activities (20 points)
• Leadership in community organizations (15 points)

Tips for nominators:

Before writing a nomination letter, ask the person about other accomplishments in their career or the community in addition to the way you may know them. You might learn some things you didn’t know! In crafting your nomination, consider these common characteristics of potential honorees:
• Successful in their chosen field
• Make a significant contribution to their company or employer
• Character, involvement and achievement are consistent themes in their lives
• Committed to professional excellence and the community
• Involved in community activities
• Innovative

Optional: to learn more about the nominee ask the person you are nominating to give you an updated resume that includes their community service and upload it with your nomination.

Include special recognitions, projects and achievements; affiliations, boards, etc.
List nominee’s participation, length of service and offices held in community organizations.
