We at Good Morning HQ and the front desks of the Herald Review are quite happy to accept your event notices. You can enter them on myheraldreview.com. On the left there’s a menu. Go to Calendar Events, click on +Promote Your Event, and follow the prompts. It’s a new system, but we all should get better service. You could also email your info to email@example.com. Or, drop off your flyer at 102 S. Fab Ave. in Sierra Vista or 12 Main St. in Bisbee. We will do our best to get your event some play. We do have space limitations.
One group who just dropped off a flyer at the Sierra Vista office is the Critter Cupboard Pet Food Pantry Project. Their aim is to help people in financial straits take care of their pets at home and avoid sending them to the shelters. “... pets, companion and service animals contribute in many ways to people’s sense of well-being. … [some people may] sacrifice their own basic needs to make sure their pets are fed and cared for. Seniors, veterans, and disabled persons most especially can find themselves in this difficult situation.”
The Critter Cupboard wants to rally volunteers, service organizations, and businesses to help by collecting and distributing pet food, donating food and supplies, hosting presentations at their meetings, or hosting a donation bin at your business. The organization will pick up donations weekly. Some of the supplies they need are dry or canned food, bins and buckets, large baggies, leashes and harnesses, treats, brushes, and cat trees.
Your gifts to the Critter Cupboard are tax deductible. They are sponsored by the Wellness Connection. Call 520-452-0080 and ask for Sabrina or Jerome to arrange a drop off.
